Maths Coloring

Today in maths we did these activities. It was really fun but at the same time it made you think. It made me think because I had to divide the top and bottom numbers to find the equivalent fractions and I found it hard for some of the numbers. My one is fractions and the picture is a Christmas tree with Christmas presents under it and a fire place. I used my own felts that are scented to colour it in.

Sherbet

Today in science we made sherbet. The ingredients were baking soda, citric acid, tartaric acid and icing sugar. We had to try all of the ingredients - some were good and some were bad. Baking soda was the worst and icing sugar was the best. First we added one serving of each and then we tasted it and added what the group thought that it needed. In the end I think that my group made the best sherbet out of the whole class.

Maths

Today in maths we got a maths booklet. I finished 8 pages.The booklet teaches us about basic algebra. On page 1 I got 19/20, on page 2 I got 13/13, on page 3 I got 14/17, on page 4 I got 14/17 again, on page 5 I got 19/19, on page 6 I got 13/17, on page 7 I got 36/36 and last but not least page 8 I got 7/7. Their are 11 pages so I'm nearly done. I have learnt what equation and expressions are and how to tell them apart. I have all so learnt how to deterrmine the value of the variable in each equation.

Topic

 In topic I was counting all of my points. I am nearly done because I only have a few more points to get. . The goal is to get 200 points. I only have 30 points  but I have two that i'm working on. So  might just make it to 200 points. I got 30 points from doing a dance to vibes by Six60 and I did the dance with Seihara and Molly H. We performed in front of Miss Drummond. I really enjoyed it. I think that it will be a memory that i will remember.

Sports Assembly

Today we had the last assembly of the year. It is were they hand out all of the certificate. Some year 6 people got their level 3 badge  like me. We all so had people perform I performed 2 times once in kapa haka and I was the conductor for the choir. I really enjoyed it.

My Cross

This is photo of me and my cross. On my cross there are three rainbows, a church, some blue clouds, a sun, and a heart. Care, respect and honesty are written on each side. It took at least 6 weeks to finish. We made these so that they could go up around the school.

Orientation

Today we went to Marist orientation day. It was fun because at first we were in the hall for the first 30 min. I was there from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm. We were put into groups of three and our tour guides kept losing us. I saw my sister and gave her my brownie. Then I dropped my with my sister and ran so that she couldn't give it back because I knew my sister wouldn't chase me. We left at 12.30 to go back to school.
